About Dalynn May
Dalynn received her master’s degree in social work from San Francisco State University, with an emphasis in individuals, families, and groups. She received her B.A. in psychology and sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she earned honors in both majors, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
She has worked with people therapeutically since 1997, in individual, couples and group therapy. While at San Francisco General Hospital, she ran a group focussing on anxiety issues, as well as a group for people with depression. While at SFGH, Dalynn also received significant training in trauma, cultural diversity, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
Most recently, at the Marina Counseling Center, Dalynn provided in-depth psychotherapy to adults, both as individuals and couples. Her couples practice includes pre-marital, marital, and same-sex counseling.
She loves this work and finds it a great honor to listen to people’s stories and help them grow.
